Chef Letizia Vella’s culinary journey was shaped by her family's deep-rooted appreciation for quality and tradition. After completing her studies at Malta's Culinary Institute, she sought to refine her skills and creativity, leading to working under the renowned Chef Heston Blumenthal at The Fat Duck and at Dinner by Heston. She then honed her craft in several esteemed restaurants across Malta before realizing her dream of opening her own establishment, The Golden Fork, in 2019.

Originally operating from a quaint townhouse in Attard, The Golden Fork relocated to its current location in 2022, further cementing its reputation for refined, innovative cuisine. Chef Letizia continuously expands her repertoire by staging in kitchens worldwide and immersing herself in diverse culinary experiences. Her dedication to excellence has earned her numerous accolades, including being the first Maltese chef to receive ‘The Knife’ award in 2024 by The Best Chef Awards. She has also been consistently recommended by Michelin since Malta’s inaugural Michelin Guide and serves as a judge on MasterChef Malta.

We would like all of our guests to feel free to express their style however, we do ask guests to avoid shorts, tracksuits and hoodies. Smart trainers are fine. We know lots of our guests like to dress smartly which we appreciate! Ultimately we want every guest to feel at home.
